Neversoft parts ways with Tony Hawk (CVG 12/1/09)
Neversoft has officially parted ways with the Tony Hawk's series, after nine home console games at the helm.
Speaking in an interview, the developer said that it decided to change hands with its famous skate series, which faces increased competition from EA's SKATE, so that it can focus entirely on Guitar Hero.
Tony Hawk's will now be handled by another, unnamed developer. Neversoft co-founder Joel Jewett said that the change would be "probably best for the franchise." After the last few games, we agree.
Ex-EA dev's startup studio, Robomodo, which claims to be working on a "high-profile extreme sports title for Activision Blizzard," is rumoured to have received the torch. Good luck to them.
