GOW III full of ideas "too ambitious" for original games (CVG 17/2/09)
God of War III will be crammed full of ideas and features that were originally pitched for the first two games, but ditched because they were "too ambitious", according to SCEA Santa Monica's concept artist, Cecil Kim.
Speaking on his blog, the hyped dev said: "Things that I am excited about [with] GOW III is that we are introducing so many new gameplay mechanics that were initially pitched during the production of God of War I [and] II."
He went on: "Some ideas being too ambitious to be executed years ago, only remain in our heads. Now I see Kratos doing things that were from our wishlist. We came a long long way to make this one all come together."
He confirms that everything seen in the stunning, recently-released trailer is from the actual game engine, but goes on to state: "Looking good is [one] thing, it needs to play better first, and I am just blown [away] by how much stuff we are packing into the game."
We can't wait to see it.
