As part of a little Q&A about the new Xbox dashboard, Microsoft's Larry Hryb has disclosed that the very first gamertag in the world is "e", which belongs to Microsoft's Xbox Live operations manager Eric Neustadter.

It was created all the way back on August 13, 2002, meaning ...

Codemasters today sent out a ton of material to remind us that Leisure Suit Larry is back on our consoles next week in Europe and March 31st in North America.

For all of those unaware of Leisure Suit Larry (where have you been?), he's an age old games character who's always looking for love in all the wrong places. This third person, innuendo filled, comedic series, returns with Box Office Bust as Larry heads out to Tinseltown to save the day and save his uncle's film set.

On March 25th there will be some sort of avatar and Age of Booty related goings on. In a simple blog post by Capcom's Daryl Allison, there was only the message "March 25th, 2009 marks the spot" and the image below. What exactly will be at that spot only time will tell. Hopefully it will be some pirate-themed clothing to promote their game, but perhaps only avatar support for the game itself. Although, you'd think if it were clothing they might have the avatar in the image actually wearing ...

Here are some other stats (stats are accurate as of the Bungie update):

Even though it was released roughly three years earlier, Halo 2 only has 798 million games played

If each game of Halo 3 lasted only three minutes and nineteen ...

Did you pass on Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts last fall, adamant that the Xbox 360 game was worth the admission price? Well, will twenty dollars do?

The Rare-developed vehicular platformer—which we thought was decent if a bit dull—is Amazon's video game Deal of the Day, a measly $19.99. Not bad for a game that's a mere fourth months old. Good thing the holiday season has passed and all those games that were overlooked last quarter are collecting dust, eh?

But before I get into what Microsoft needs to do, let's go through what the company has done right so far to see how close we are to something truly special in the console world.
